Banana Bread Brownies

Guest recipe and blog by Emily Hill @wonderwhyimfat

I am guilty for never eating all the bananas I buy. They end up sitting on the counter until they turn brown and usually end up in the trash. Sound familiar??

Today we can both be done wasting bananas – After all, there are so many fun recipes you can make with them. You can whip up a healthy breakfast, energy bites or a scrumptious dessert with leftover bananas. The options are endless!

For this recipe, I wanted to create a gut friendly treat featuring Just Thrive Probiotic – Because it’s odorless and tasteless, it’s easy to sneak into any recipe. My grandparents need the extra immune support but can’t swallow numerous pills so this is the best way to ensure they get the gut health support they need to stay balanced and healthy.

We had a family birthday party over the weekend and I made an extra batch for my grandparents to take home with them and enjoy throughout the week. One of my favorite desserts is banana bread brownies with a brown butter icing. This recipe calls for sour cream but you can swap that out for plain, non-dairy yogurt to make it even healthier.

Bananas are great for your overall health because they have potassium, magnesium and fiber as well as Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C. Not to mention they are super cheap and easy to grab on the go!

When making the icing, you will want the butter to melt and start to turn brown. Be careful not to burn the butter!

These brownies are my new go to recipe because I can’t seem to stop eating them!  They are delish!!  Enjoy!
